成人式 – Coming of Age Ceremony
14th of January.
This day is known as Coming of Age Day in Japan. It’s a big day for the Japanese who reach 20 years old. So what does it have to do with me?
The answer is Kae is also 20 years old this year. It’s a big day for her too. She put it a lot of effort in order to prepare for the ceremony.
I decided to be her personal camera-man for that day. Here goes…

Kae-chan woke up as early as 5am to go to the beauty saloon and get dressed in kimono.
