What i can show you is the outline of the article by Carol McClelland.
We can start by discovering our green niche. What type of industry or prefession are you most interested in? The industry that you interested has any direct/indirect impact or direct/indirect benefits towards the environment. What position allow you to use your passions, interests, talents and experience?
What Carol McClelland mention in her article is very true. We need to spend some time on thinking about the kind of work setting that makes you feel good and be productive. Do you want to be in large corporation or in a small office? To work inside or outside? Do you like meeting and talking to people?
What is your possibilities? Start with online research when you have two or three career ideas in mind. Do some informational interview to understand your target industries/professions. Online research will help you to formulate your questions that you want to ask. You can always seek for advice from green career central.
As for myself, i’m passionate in starting my own green business.
In short, my idea is to collecting food waste, kitchen waste and other organic wastes from restaurants, mall, hypermarkets and hotels and turning them into organic fertilizers! The bottom line of this project is to support my cause of protecting the environment!
3 things i want to acheive here
1) save tons of wastage produced everyday before it end up in the landfill. You can help to save the environment by helping me so that i can get it work.
2) mass produce organic fertilizers to encourage farmers to start or to switch into organic farming. Can you imagine our live surrounded by food free of chemical fertilizers and pesticides? It’s our health and safety that counts!
3) Help the poor farmers. I can provide them with good fertillizers so that they can have better quality yield to sell and improve their livelihood.
